I'm going to just cut to the chase here, President Obama has stirred the pot so vigorously over the last 100 days, it appears the opposition is going to experience cardiac arrest. The true measure of how change has finally arrived is the constant vitriol of the status quo. Undoubtedly the Republican party, Corporate governance and Right wing naysayers have finally found a politician equal to their unbridled greed. This isn't to say, that President Obama is right or wrong with his aggressive yet measured agenda. Now there's an oxymoron for you, but the fact is he has touched upon a number of approaches that call out the status quo for alienating and exploiting the common citizen over the last few decades.
Don't get me wrong, stating the obvious is by no means exemplary on my part, but really doesn't it embolden you that our President is actually making an attempt to get things done! It's been an awful period of time in our nations history, learning of the depths of corruption, the propensity of darkness, the failure of morality within our government has and will continue to be a source of embarrassment. Honestly, sometimes the truth really hurts, and it hurts even more to know that the blame for this falls on both sides of the fence.
Now is not the time to lose sight of the goal, ultimately we are hoping that the better angels of our humanity will prevail. Unfortunately there are many pitfalls along the way, as we march on toward the more perfect union there will be many obstacles placed before us. We must support and extol our President to do what is right by us all. Sure it may appear to be a Utopian belief in fairness and honesty, but it is our belief and our hopes that ultimately will be won or lost in his efforts.
For too long, our country has been apathetic about our political and business elite. We must regain our ethical and moral compass, demanding accountability and fairness for everyone that calls this country home. Don't under estimate the public's awareness, we are paying attention, probably for the first time in many, many years.
I can only hope that we are ready for the magnitude of corruption, that has polluted our existence. Can we handle the truth, or will we devour the bearer of empirical facts. Our government, my government has embraced a belief that has murdered thousands of my fellow brethren. Don't be fooled, we cannot and will not take this light-hearted. There are factions within our government that have supported the tyranny of business elites, with no concept of human or ethical morality.
For once, there is hope, hope of our reckoning with our rich history and forging a stronger more reasoned purpose for our future. One hundred days later, we are now on that path. We've made some enormous commitments toward progress, but progress can only be measured by our ability to follow through on those commitments.
We support and applaud what our President has done, but we must not let up, we must not allow him to forget. We the people want this change, for better and for worse. Because we actually do realize that the worst is really behind us, and the future can only get better. Don't be mislead, we respect and admire our President and we realize his challenges are great. In 100 days he's managed to alienate over 500,000 people, the same people that didn't vote for him or support his ideology. Fortunately for him he has about 65,000,000 people that think he's doing just fine, these are the people that are proud of his achievements, proud of his commitments.
We empathize with him, having ordered the killing of Somali Pirates, we grieve with him for our Soldiers who have fallen in battle. We are and will forever be grateful to the man who has taken on this grave responsibility. Repairing our great nation is a job of immense challenges, but we've decided and rightfully so, we've chosen the right man for the job.
It's been some 100 days!

Viva La Revolucion
Finally the American Government has relaxed travel bans to the Island Republic of Cuba. It's taken more than 50 years to bring this exiled nation back into the mainstream of the Americas.
What took so long for the hypocritical politicians that have vacationed on the Cuban Island to allow the Cuban families the same travel opportunities they have enjoyed from the inception of the blockade and travel ban.
This is such an elitist country, that offers opportunity for the rich and well-connected. Yet denies the same benefits to the displaced and often time indigent cuban american community.
Well at the very least the time has come for cooler heads to prevail. My sincerest hope is that the Cuban Government will now take the ball and advance it even further down the field. There is no practical reasoning for having this country in our backyard and not engaging in full diplomatic communication.
For years we have missed out on the cuban socialized medical communities and the advancement of our own single payer medical programs. Learning from other governments is a positive and necessary step in the advancement of our democratic legislative process. We are not the only country on the planet with a formative policy on governance.
I salute President Obama and his cabinet on this historic day in the history of our great and growing nation. Someday we will all look back on this magnificent day with the pride of a new America filled with hope and new found prosperity.

Look At The Bigger Picture
I hope all of you are paying attention to the events of this past week. First of all I would like to extend my best wishes to the family of Captain Phillips of the Alabama-Maersk. Only through the grace of God and the extraordinary skills of our Navy Seals is Mr. Phillips now safely onboard with the US Navy.
One thing I find peculiar, having listened to the account of the activities that led up to the hostage situation. The aforementioned Captain Phillips was previously aware of the pirating activities almost a week in advance. Yet, Captain Phillips chose to ignore these activities and sail a course within 250 miles of the Somali coast. Has anyone questioned why our Navy had to sail almost 300 nautical miles to arrive at the scene of this incident? Probably not, from all that has been reported. Or, don't any of you find it peculiar that this was a UN Food vessel, sailing into Kenya. Look at the facts people, this incident should raise more questions about what's really taking place behind closed doors. The Alabama had no business being that close to the Somali coast. Captain Phillips knew exactly where the US Navy was at the time of his foray. Insurance companies have instructed all Shipping companies to remain at least 300 nautical miles away from the Somali coast.
I can only hope our FBI conducts a thorough investigation. If it were me, I would start with who owns the Maersk line, and why would the Captain disregard standing orders? We deserve the truth, after-all it's our tax dollars going to waste. Our treasure should not be used in vain, what if one of those Seals had lost his or her's life trying to rescue Captain Phillips.
Lest we forget how easily we were led into a war in Iraq, don't let the hawkish politicians send us on a course of destruction onto the Somali coast. Remember the movie .....Blackhawk Down, Somalia is not Iraq, many of these crude Militia's are former soldiers trained to be terrorist. We must never forget, Osama Bin laden went to Somalia to train prior to starting his Al Queda assaults throughout the middle east. Many high ranking US Military officials see this as an opporunity to make up for a defeat in the eyes of the media. Big Pharma want's access to the most potent stimulant to come along in many years. Go back and read Time Magazine, Khat is a natural plant that is more potent than amphetamines. The patent on this drug is worth Billions. It only grows in a few countries in eastern africa.

Of course a country with a dictatorial government would be the best to exploit! Sound familiar people, again think Iraq. This is Conoco, Amoco, Chevron and Phillips all possessing oil rights negotiated during the Reagan Era and desperately wanting to drill for what is believed to be millions of barrels of oil! George W. Bush allocated 20,000 troops to Somalia to help facilitate this exploration. See the attached article!

Fishing off the coast of Somalia has been severely threatened by the dumping of Nuclear waste by the French and English governments for quite sometime. This dumping has killed off massive quantities of fish, which previously fed entire communities. Where is the United Nations, the media outrage, the public discourse. People the facts are pretty clear, something fishy is going on off the coast of Somalia. And once again the Tyranny of Big Oil knows no boundaries.
